I just have to say . . . . the idea about using deoderant to stop the itch of insect bites is wonderful! I now carry a travel size container of antiperspirant in my purse. I usually make sure I have the mosquito spray handy for when I'm outside in the evenings to keep the bugs away to begin with, but sometimes I find myself without the spray, and the mosquitos love me. Once attacked by mosquitoes, the only relief I've found is with the antiperspirant. It works immediately and for a long time.

My son had a tick bite the other day. Once we removed the tick and made sure we got the head out and everything, I instructed him to not scratch it, and put some antiperspirant on the bite. Later in the day I asked him if it was itching. There was a red spot there. But he said it did not itch at all. I was amazed and now want to let everyone know about this inexpensive home remedy.

I love to eat horseradish with my prime rib, but I'm not sure about rubbing it on. I guess, if it works, and I'm not planning to go anywhere for a while, it would be worth the smell. But I sure wouldn't want to be walking around smelling like horseradish!

I would think this depends on the type of headache you are having.

At the very least, it will help keep you hydrated.

"Exercising" can be as simple as 15 to 30 minutes of stretches every day. Stretching relaxes your muscles, and makes you less prone to sleep-disturbing aches and pains.

I've just read an article that says to be sure to turn off TVs and computer screens at least 30 minutes before you go to bed. They "produce light that makes your brain think it's daytime, disrupting the chemical balance needed to fall asleep."

I suppose you can even pour liquid fabric softener in a pan with some water and let it sit overnight. If anyone has tried this, let me know if it works.
