Some houseplants actually help to clean or purify the air in your home. Here is a list of some of the best plants to use: Spider Plant, Peace Lily, Reed Palm, Dracaena, Weeping Fig, Philodendron, Bamboo Palm, Golden Pothos, English Ivy, and Ficus. These are usually very easy to grow.
A recent report from NASA says that not only are these plants decorative for the home, but they can be useful in other modern buildings in that they can absorb potentially harmful gases and other indoor pollutants, such as Formaldehyde, Benzene, and Carbon Monoxide.
Place one or a few of the ornamental plants in each room of your house to naturally clear the air.
